The nominating committee, made up of Michelle Uffleman, Lara Wagner and Nancy Joseph, had to dig deep and, in the end, selected one of their own to round out the slate of candidates for BACM Club officers for 2024.

Slate of candidates

Four of the candidates are current officers who are offering to continue in their current positions:

  • Esther Wynne : President
  • Lisa Fields : Vice President
  • Linda Cummings : Treasurer
  • Michelle Uffelman : Secretary
  • Elaine Osmun : Member-at-Large

About Michelle

Here is a little background on Michelle, in case you are not familiar with her.  Michelle lives in Hardin with her husband, their three children, three Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and one pug.  Michelle and her daughter, Alexis, have recently become involved competitively in dog agility and dock diving. They just returned from Dock Diving Nationals yesterday!   Michelle works with me managing the 4H Dog Project for Big Horn county; via the 4H venue, Michelle and Alexis are training in obedience and rally. Although she is a busy mother, Michelle wants to be involved in area dog activities and to meet more people in the sport locally.  She is conscientious, a good communicator and willing to learn.

Additional nominations

Nominations may be made at the annual meeting by any member in attendance provided that the person so nominated does not decline when their name is proposed, and provider further that if the proposed candidate is not in attendance at this meeting, the proposer shall present to the Secretary (in this case to one of the current officers) a written statement from the proposed candidate signifying willingness to be a candidate.

Results of the vote

At our annual meeting, on Monday evening November 13, 2023, at 6 o’clock, no additional nominations were put forth. All members present voted to accept the slate of candidates put forth by the Nominating Committee.

Congratulations and a giant thanks to our new officers!
