Calling all dogs who love to run—that’s nearly all of them, isn’t it?—to enter the Fast CAT Event in August at Yellowstone Dog Sports, near Roberts, Montana.
Continuing its tradition, the Beartooth Agility Club of Montana (BACM) will host another thrill-a-minute, fun-filled Fast CAT Event in August. We will offer five events from Friday, August 15, to Sunday, August 17, 2025. As a result, five events mean five opportunities for your dogs!
Why call a dog event Fast CAT?
Do the dogs chase cats? Fast CAT, which stands for Coursing Ability Test, is a timed 100-yard dash after a lure, affectionately called a bunny. The dogs compete one at a time to chase the “bunny” down a fenced straight-line course. With every run, the excitement builds among the dogs, their releasers and catchers, and the spectators.
Time for an adventure
Enter today to reserve your spots in the Fast CAT Event in August at Yellowstone Dog Sports near Roberts, Montana! BACM is offering Fun Runs—for those who just want to try it and see if their dog likes it. Additionally, there will be Competition Runs for those who want to give their dog a chance to earn a title. Further, fast dogs can even achieve a mention on the AKC list of the top 20 Fastest Dogs by breed!
ENTRIES ARE NOW OPEN and will close Friday, August 1, 2025, at noon Mountain Time. Entries will only be accepted upon payment of entry fees. See the premium for payment options.
Day-of entries will be accepted until the daily run limit is reached. Entries received after this point will be placed on a wait list. Those on the wait list will automatically move to the active list as space becomes available.
DISCOUNTS are available for Junior Handlers and early entries (before the closing date).
As an all-BACM event, club volunteers will take on all the duties of running a successful event. If you had fun with us last year, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have fun again this year.
Yellowstone Dog Sports, our venue, offers a fine, straight course of mowed prairie grass. There is a generous run out at the far end. Further, the entire course is securely enclosed by woven-wire field fencing.
